Our Programmes
Hands-on aviation and aerospace projects for students and community groups across New Zealand.
Project Frankenplane
Multi-school · Student competition
Frankenplane is our flagship competition. Teams receive a powertrain kit and build their own aircraft from scratch, then compete with test flights judged on design, build quality, and performance.
Schools interested in entering can get in touch — we'll get your students into the swing of things.
Residential Maintenance Camps
Multi-school · Hands-on industry experience
Students work with a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to disassemble a real aircraft in preparation for a major overhaul — a genuine taste of the aviation industry.
Weather permitting, students also get a flight in a GA aircraft or microlight.
Aid Delivery Drones
Real-world engineering challenge
Students design and build drones for a real-world humanitarian challenge — bringing together aerodynamics, electronics, payload design, and mission planning.
Build Sessions
Schools and community groups
We run regular build sessions where students work on current projects alongside our volunteer team. Sessions are held in school workshops and community spaces.
New students are always welcome. No experience needed.
