One Foot
In The Clouds
We get Auckland students into aviation, aerospace, and space: building real aircraft, launching satellites, and developing skills that lead to real careers.
What students do here
Students start by designing, building, and flying radio control aircraft. From there they move on to full-size kitset builds, maintenance camps with licensed engineers, multi-school competitions, and satellite projects with university partners.
From one cohort alone, 35 students went on to train as engineers, eight as pilots, and one as a rocket designer. Sessions run after school and on weekends. No experience needed.
Ways to get involved
Students
Come along to a session. You'll start with RC aircraft and work up from there. High school and university students both take part, often on the same projects.
Join a session →Schools & Teachers
We work in your workshop, fit around your timetable, and coordinate with your teachers. Some schools run it as a curriculum project; others as an after-school programme.
Bring your school →Volunteers
Our volunteers come from aviation, engineering, model flying clubs, and universities. Some mentor weekly; others give a Saturday here and there. Both make a difference.
